NAVLE Job Analysis

All licensing examinations are based on a job analysis, which describes the tasks that practitioners perform in practice and the knowledge required for comptetent performance of those tasks.
The previous NAVLE job analysis was conducted in 2002 and was approved in 2003. That job analysis was used to guide development of test forms administered through April 2011.
In 2009, the NBVME conducted a new job analysis study, and the board approved the report from that study at its January 2010 meeting. The new job analysis has been used to develop test forms for administration to candidates beginning with the November-December 2011 testing window.
